Healthier Dancer Programme content as part of The Future: New Ideas, New Inspirations conference 2015 videos

The conference opened 9 April 2015 with a special evening celebration compered by Arlene Phillips CBE and Ashley Banjo, leader of Diversity. The evening includes keynote speeches to set the agenda for the three days from Sir Peter Bazalgette, Chair of Arts Council England, Dame Gillian Lynne and Sir Ken Robinson, who will present his keynote speech filmed from Los Angeles. The evening features a number of performances, including The Feeling’s music video Boy Cried Wolf featuring Royal Ballet dancer Edward Watson, choreographed by Arthur Pita, an exquisite performance from Strictly Come Dancing professional ballroom and Latin dancers Kristina Rihanoff and Robin Windsor, Zoo Nation’s Teneisha Bonner and closing with Verve, the postgraduate company of Northern School of Contemporary Dance, performing Ocean, choreographed by recent graduate Jamaal Burkmar, with twelve young dancers shining a light on exciting emerging British talent.
