Join STEPPS Charity as Chair of the Board of Trustees
Are you passionate about supporting the mental health and well-being of dancers and performing artists?
STEPPS is seeking a dedicated individual to lead its committed Board of Trustees.
You will be taking over from the existing Chair who has established the charity along Charity Commission guidelines with a Business Plan and Case for Financial Support for fundraising in place. STEPPS is starting to deliver its objectives and is well placed for growth and strategic implementation of its vision under a new Chair. About STEPPS A charity committed to providing vital resources, support, and advocacy for dancers and performing artists, helping them navigate the unique challenges of their careers while prioritising mental health and well-being.
The Role As Chair, you will:
- Lead the Board in effective governance and strategic decision-making.
- Champion our mission, driving the charity's growth and impact.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assist in secure funding and build partnerships and sustainability.
- Support and mentor trustees and the charity’s CEO to build an effective team.

- Can commit time and energy to advancing goals.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Time Commitment
The role is voluntary, with an expected commitment of at least 10 hours per month, including quarterly board meetings and occasional events. The Board meets online but if necessary reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
