Birmingham Ballet Teacher

Job Description

Delivering Ballet classes and preparing students for internal exams Supporting students with welfare & development. This is a part time role. This position is ideal for teachers with experience teaching ballet and contemporary based work.

Minimum Requirements   

• 18yrs+ 
• Enhanced DBS & First Aid (We can support with gaining an Enhanced DBS but this would be expected to be funded by the applicant)
• Fluent English 
• Degree In Ballet Education/ Other Relevant Qualification 

Preferred

• Experience With Children Safeguarding Qualification

Days & Times: Fridays 3:30- 8:30 Saturdays 8:30 -3:30
Rate: Teacher Rate £25-£30 ph depending on experience (£15ph admin rate)
Dates: Term Time (dates to be provided)
Employment Status: Self employed (freelancer)
Start Date: September 2025

Grace & Poise Academy is a non for profit community interest company seeking to make ballet accessible to diverse communities, specifically but not exclusively the Muslim community. Grace & Poise works with spoken word poetry (rather than music) and has a bespoke ballet to poetry syllabus. As a company with an Islamic ethos classes respect modesty values by ensuring privacy. Grace & Poise operates Academies across 9 venues in London, Luton,& Birmingham and students work towards internal exams annually, G&P also delivers ballet within an outreach programme going into schools and nurseries in curriculum time G&P employs a holistic and nurturing environment and aims to create an inclusive and supportive space for all.
