Jo managed the rural touring scheme for North Yorkshire and the Tees Valley, bringing professional touring work to community venues. Jo was passionate about bringing high quality dance to community venues so that those living rurally had access to the best contemporary dance despite their rurality.
She has taught as a specialist dance teacher in primary schools supporting the national curriculum. Jo still teaches dance on a freelance basis, teaching her own classes in the community and at festivals.
Jo's dream class would be a contact improvisation class with the late Janis Claxton
