Her academic pursuits culminated in a Masters Degree in Digital Culture and Technology from Kings College London. With a passion for the arts and a relentless drive for innovation Emma continues to lead the charge in transforming the landscape of digital engagement for one of the world’s foremost cultural institutions, the National Theatre.
As the visionary leader of the Digital team at the National Theatre, Emma revolutionises the institution’s digital presence, driving engagement, expanded reach, and optimising revenue streams. Her innovative response to the global pandemic resulted in the creation of NT at Home, a groundbreaking streaming platform that connected with 15 million viewers worldwide. At the forefront of her accomplishments is the NT Live initiative, which broadcasts live plays from the prestigious National Theatre stages to cinemas across the globe. Emma’s dedication extends to the National Theatre Collection, ensuring over 85% of state secondary schools in the UK have free access to this invaluable resource. Her forward-thinking approach embraces emerging and immersive technologies, broadening the horizons of theatre audiences.
