This one-day Symposium was held at Sadler’s Wells Theatre on 7 November 2006, London, and organised by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation with University College London and Arts Council England. The symposium invited cognitive neuroscientists and professional dance and performance artists to explore the implications of new scientific research for the performing arts (specifically dance) in order to encourage mutual learning, research and creative opportunities.
