This summer, the stage is set for something extraordinary.

On Saturday 19 July, the Lilian Baylis Studio at Sadler’s Wells will come alive with the fresh, fearless energy of One Dance UK’s Young Creatives, as some of the country’s most exciting emerging choreographers unveil their brand-new works for the very first time.

Part of the YFX 2025 programme, this special performance is more than just a showcase, it’s a celebration of raw talent, powerful storytelling, and the future of British dance.

A Two-Year Journey of Creativity and Growth

The Young Creatives programme is a transformative two-year experience designed for young people aged 16–20 with a passion for choreography and movement. Delivered by One Dance UK, the programme brings together talented young dance makers from across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, giving them the tools and mentorship they need to develop their creative voice.

In the first year, participants took part in intensive choreographic workshops, learning from some of the UK’s most respected industry professionals. These sessions covered everything from improvisation and compositional tools to developing personal artistic identity.

In year two, the focus turned to creation and performance. With continued support from expert mentors and face-to-face guidance, each Young Creative crafted their own original choreography work that is now ready to be shared live, on stage, with you.

A Platform for Emerging Talent

With the support of partners like Sadler’s Wells’ Making Moves and the London Contemporary Dance School at The Place, the Young Creatives programme is proudly opening doors for the next generation of dance artists. These are the young minds who will go on to shape the industry and this is your chance to say, I saw them first.
