Expressions of interest are now open for DanceEast’s Summer Free Space

During the last two weeks of August, DanceEast is throwing their doors open to artists seeking studio space. During this rare period in the DanceEast calendar when they are free of other commitments, they are able to support artists with studio space more than any other point in the year.

Open to all dance artists at any career stage, this relaxed residency offers space and freedom to work on projects, research new ideas, rehearse, or creative exploration with no outcomes at all! DanceEast will be prioritising East and Southeast based artists and striving to represent a range of artists and dance styles, but the offer is open to all.

It is important to know that offers will not be given based on the strength of your artistic ideas but logistics. DanceEast’s aim is to fully populate with building with as many artists as they can fit into the schedule.

Space Available:

4 x 5-day blocks – Mon 21 – Fri 25 August 9am-5pm (Week 1)

3 x 4-day blocks – Tues 29 – Fri 1 September 9am-5pm (Week 2)

DanceEast can only offer blocks of 3 days or less (including single days) on Week 2.

To apply you will be asked to complete an Expression of Interest form (EOI). You can apply through a written application, or you can upload a video application via a google form.
