Salary: £40,000 per year
Job type: Full-time (36 hours per week), Fixed-term contract from 29 January 2024 to February 2025

Who we are looking for:
English National Ballet School, the official school of English National Ballet, is a specialist training centre for aspiring and highly talented young ballet dancers aged 16 to 19. We transform talented young dancers into world-class performers over a three-year programme validated by Trinity College, London.
As part of English National Ballet School’s commitment to supporting its students and staff and its vision to be the first choice for the next generation of international ballet dancers, we are looking for an exceptional individual to join us as maternity cover Ballet Teacher for our 3rd Year (female).
Working alongside colleagues within our teaching faculty, and led by our Artistic Director Viviana Durante, the post-holder is expected to play a major role in the pedagogic and pastoral care of the students at the School and to develop students to realise their potential as ballet dancers. All facets of this post involve teaching, administration and development.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience of working as a classical ballet teacher with advanced students aged 16-19
- A dance teaching qualification endorsed by a recognised educational body
- Detailed and proven knowledge of classical ballet, and the key traditions of training, education and performance
- Up to date knowledge of classical repertoire, particularly that of English National Ballet
- Successful and proven experience of performing with a major professional ballet company and/or school
- Excellent written and oral communication in English.
