One Dance UK in conversation with Dollie Henry MBE webinar: JAZZ… The Black & White of it!

One Dance UK joins forces with BOP Jazz Theatre Company's Artistic Director Dollie Henry MBE. Together, they shine a light on the unique expression and aesthetic of the Jazz Dance Theatre Art Form.

As one of the UK’s leading jazz artists, choreographers and practitioners, Dollie will share her personal and professional journey, and explore the Black origin of the jazz dance story. She will highlight the great lineage and historical context of this incredible art form, and discuss the continuation of the great tradition of Jazz Theatre Arts in the UK.

Jazz is such an exciting art form as it is ever-evolving and changing. Its links to popular culture and music make it accessible and relevant to all.

This webinar offers a chance to appreciate how jazz dance has shaped, supported and served our dance theatre community, affording greater equality and diversity within our dance ecology, practices and delivery. Jazz is so much more than a 4-letter word!
