Thomas Talawa Prestø is a leading dance artist, researcher, and pioneer in African and African Diaspora performance studies. As Founder and Artistic Director of Tabanka Dance Ensemble, he has led the company for 17 years, performing in 30+ countries and professionalising dancers globally. A specialist in polycentric dance, he developed the Talawa Technique™, blending ancestral and contemporary movement. His research explores African dance in stage productions and decolonial practices.
